BYRON BOEHM
Byron Boehm is a Sydney-based artist known for his vibrant, intricate artworks that capture movement, energy and tranquillity. Growing up in the Snowy Mountains, he found inspiration in the natural landscapes, especially the rivers and mountains that shaped his childhood. Fishing in these serene environments brought him a sense of peace - something he now channels into his art.
At 26, Byron was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. In 2018, he turned to art as a form of therapy, using it to manage chronic pain and support his mental well-being. His creative process mirrors the stillness and resilience he once found in nature, with each piece reflecting detailed patterns and bold colours reminiscent of flowing water and rugged terrain.
Byron’s work spans multiple mediums, from works on paper to painted furniture and three-dimensional pieces. His art has been exhibited across Sydney and the Snowy Mountains, earning recognition, awards and placements in private collections. His pieces have also been featured in cafés, childcare centres and collaborative projects with fashion and lifestyle brands.
Passionate about making art accessible and meaningful, Byron continues to explore new ways to share his work. Whether through commissions, collaborations or exhibitions, his goal is to inspire others with the same sense of calm, joy and perseverance that art has given him
