Beyond the technical challenges of working with such large dimensions, obtaining approval for the installation required navigating the complexities of local regulations. A Development Application (DA) was necessary to ensure that this stunning mural could grace the side of the hangar for all to see.

With $55 million in funding allocated for a significant upgrade and expansion of the international terminal, the airport's growth heralds a new era of connectivity and opportunity for the region.

Mitch Revs was invited to the 2019 Australian Open in Melbourne to paint live, adding his vibrant artistic flair to the festivities.

Mitch painted a mural that captured the essence of both Vegemite and the Australian Open. Set against the backdrop of the Melbourne skyline, the mural featured iconic symbols of Vegemite, including its distinctive logo, intertwined with elements of tennis. Central to the mural was a silhouette of tennis sensation Ash Barty, poised to serve the ball with determination and grace. The mural also paid tribute to the unsung heroes of the Australian Open - the ball kids.

Commissioned by Venues NSW to coincide with Paul McCartney's monumental concert at McDonald Jones Stadium on the 24th of October 2023, this mural transcends mere promotion. It embodies the essence of McCartney's storied career, encapsulating his colorful history as a musician and a living Beatle.

His determination and love for his craft led to an incredible project that not only celebrated the legendary Newcastle Knights team of 1997 but also raised significant funds for a cause close to his heart.

The seed of this special collaboration was planted when Mitch first caught up with Mark Hughes in 2017 to discuss the idea. As a devoted Newcastle Knights fan, Mitch couldn't help but feel the significance of commemorating the iconic 1997 team. He immersed himself in reliving the thrilling moments of the game, going through photographs, and drawing inspiration from the unforgettable match. The concept of creating an artwork that would honor the team and support the Mark Hughes Foundation and brain cancer research quickly captured his imagination.

To bring his vision to life, Mitch poured his heart and soul into the artwork. Countless sleepless nights were spent perfecting every detail, ensuring that the piece would be a true representation of the team's greatness and the cause it was supporting.

The hard work and determination paid off when the artwork was finally unveiled. The legendary Paul Harrigan, affectionately known as "The Chief," was present at the event. His curiosity about the process was evident when he asked Mitch about the sleepless nights he had endured. Mitch's response revealed just how much this project meant to him and how deeply he cared about supporting the Mark Hughes Foundation's mission.

Beyond the artwork itself, Mitch showed his commitment to the cause by donating 25% of all print sales from the launch night to the Mark Hughes Foundation and brain cancer research. The artworks were auctioned off athe MHF Magic Ball Live Auction. There were 6 Limited Edition prints (hand signed) to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of winning the 1997 ARL Grand Final. Mitch learned that one of the original hand-signed knights '97 grand final artworks had been auctioned, raising $3300 for the foundation.

In 2018 Mitch collaborated with the Mark Hughes foundation again by creating a noteworthy MHF notebook to further help raise funds for the MHF.

Throughout his then seven-year journey as an artist, Mitch has managed to raise an impressive $107,000 for various charities and community initiatives. For him, it's not just about creating beautiful art; it's about using his talent to inspire and make a positive impact. His story serves as an inspiration to many aspiring artists, young and old, who seek to find their purpose and make a difference through their creativity.
