Mitch Revs Announces Upcoming Exhibition, 'All In A Year'

Local Newcastle Artist Mitch Revs will be unveiling a new body of work, in his third
Newcastle art exhibition on Saturday 28th November 2020. ‘All In A Year’, the title of his upcoming exhibition, will include hand-drawn illustrations, digital illustrations, sculptures and original paintings. Showcased in an entirely new direction, the first of his limited edition artworks will be displayed in a way that is unprecedented in his art journey.

‘All In A Year’, will explore Revs’ journey of exploring new techniques, building on the collection of iconic Newcastle and The Hunter locations and projecting colour into a somewhat dark year for many.

Taking a look at the artist himself, Mitch began his journey as an apprentice tattoo artist before his father instilled a piece of advice, “why don’t you turn your one-on-one piece of art, into something that could be shared and enjoyed by many”. Then, in 2011 this self-taught artist transitioned into designing and painting murals, fine art pieces and digital illustrations.

His digital illustrations hold a distinctive and recognisable cartoon style. Each piece reflects his adoration of the ocean, outdoors, animals, and community. Each illustration he creates allows the viewer to join him in that happy, colourful moment, feel nostalgic and understand the freedom of creativity.

Revs’ fine art paintings explore a very different side of how his creative brain turns and within this exhibition, the viewer will experience different colour palettes and subjects, than his previous work. A theme of “coastal, with a sprinkle of safari” will leave animal lovers, in awe of these incredible portraitures.

On Thursday 26th November, we will be allowing the media and key opinion leaders to have the first viewing of the exhibition, with the opportunity to meet and speak with the artist.

Friday will be reserved for buyers interested in purchasing the exclusive first edition
artworks, plus his friends and family to celebrate.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 9 am - 4 pm Saturday 30th November, across both Mitch Revs Gallery and Makers Creators in Hunter Street, Newcastle. To abide by COVID19 SAFE regulations, this will be a ticketed event (no charge) to ensure we are adhering to social distancing regulations.
